Wake Surf Lessons

About Wake Surfing:

Wake Surfing is easy to learn if you have a good sense of balance and with coaching from our instructors. If you have ridden a Snow Board, Wake board or Skateboard, chances are, this will seem natural to you. Although, previous board sport experience is not required before trying this awesome sport!

After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the Wake surfers will drop the rope (once you have a little experience in the sport) and ride the steep face below the wave’s peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing.

In Wake Surfing, a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat’s wake on a short surfboard that’s about five feet (1.5 meters) long and literally surfing through the boat’s wake without being attached to the boat (eventually). Wake surfing starts with a surfer lying in the water with his or her feet on the board, ready to quickly stand up. Hang Loose, this is a relaxing sport once you get the hang of it, but be aware, it is addictive, and you will want more once you have tried it!

What’s included and what do you need:

This sport requires a Wake Surf Boat, a Wake Surf Board, A Surf Rope and a Life Jacket, but we’ve got you covered on all of that. Just wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, sunscreen and a great Attitude and you are ready to go! Surf’s up!
